Our Mission

The mission of Holly Oak Child Care Center is to provide unparalleled quality of care and educational opportunities for the children entrusted to us during our hours of operation.

Holly Oak was born in September 2000 and is incorporated as a non-profit organization.  We currently serve children from ages 6 weeks to 5 years, along with an excellent Summer Camp program for School Age children through fifth grade.  We serve families from all parts of New Castle County and beyond.

Our staff is devoted to fostering social, emotional, and cognitive development in each child. In order to attain this goal, the teachers and parents work together to enhance each child’s individualized developmental process. In order for the children to develop properly, they need to become involved in many hands-on experiences provided by the teacher. Once this hands-on learning environment has been established, the teacher’s role is to act as a guide/facilitator. Parents are encouraged to be involved in the developmental process by learning all aspects of the child care program.

There are a number of goals and objectives, which must be met in order to fulfill our commitment for the healthy development of the whole individual. Some of the goals are as followed:

We admit children of any race, gender, color, nationality, and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities available at the center. We do not discriminate against any of the above mentioned individuals in administration of our educational policies, admissions, policies and any school-administered activities.

We provide childcare and intellectual, social, physical, emotional, and language development for children six weeks old through prekindergarten.

We are open Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. through 6 p.m.
